Terms of Service

What Clipper is

Clipper is a deal-finding tool. It watches prices on products you add, hunts for promo codes, checks whether they still work, and points out cheaper places to buy the same thing. It's run by a small crew, for the crew.

Accounts

Anyone can sign up, but new accounts need admin approval before they go live. We can deactivate accounts that abuse the service or just aren't a fit. You can ask us to close yours anytime.

Fair use

The hunt and verify engines cost real money to run, so each member gets a daily allowance of engine runs. Don't script against the site, share your login, or hammer the engines. If you break something on purpose, you're out.

No guarantees

Promo codes die without warning, prices change by the hour, and merchants do what merchants do. Clipper reports what it finds in good faith, but we can't promise any code will work or any price will hold. We're not the seller. Your purchases are between you and the merchant, on their terms.

Affiliate links

When you tap out to a store from Clipper, the link may be an affiliate link and Clipper may earn a commission on what you buy. It never changes the price you pay. That commission is what keeps the service free for members.

Liability, plainly

Clipper is a tool, provided as-is. Use your own judgment before you buy anything. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for losses from using the site, from a dead code, or from anything a merchant does.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, we'll say so on the site. Using Clipper after that means you're okay with the new version.
